About Dr. Lanalle
Dr. Lanalle, MSc in Transpersonal Psychology
Nature has always felt like home: mountains, forests, lakes and ocean.
I spent much of my first decade with my grandparents, most of my days outside, helping my grandmother and exploring the world around me. Each season, she fed and honoured the hummingbirds. Those tiny, fierce beings have never left me. They remain teachers of joy, resilience, presence and the courage to live from the truth of the heart.
I come from Métis and Plains Cree, German and English ancestry, carrying within me the intertwined histories of both colonised and coloniser. Reconciling these different roots has become part of my own journey of understanding who I am and where I belong.
The Indigenous prophecy of the Eagle and Condor, preserved in traditions from the Andes, speaks deeply to this journey. It tells of a time when the Eagle and Condor will fly together again. For me, it represents the possibility of bringing heart and mind, intuition and intellect, ancestral wisdom and modern knowledge into relationship, not one replacing the other, but learning to fly together.
Perhaps my own journey has been a remembering of this relationship. Learning to listen again to the land, the elements, the plants and my own heart. Remembering that I, too, belong to Nature, as did those who came before me.
Here, the questions that have shaped my life continue to take root: healing, connection and what it means to be fully human.

The path
At twelve, I felt an inexplicable pull towards Tibet. I didn’t know why, only that something there was calling me. It was the beginning of a lifelong search for meaning, leading me into Tibetan Buddhism, meditation, mindfulness and the exploration of consciousness.
That curiosity continued to unfold through plant medicine, naturopathic and Chinese medicine, anthroposophy, shamanic traditions, somatic therapy and transpersonal psychology. Each opened another way of understanding ourselves, our relationship with Nature and the mystery of being human.
For almost 25 years, I have worked as a doctor, seeking to understand what lies beneath our symptoms, rather than simply how to make them disappear. I became fascinated by the relationships between our physiology, emotions, experiences and environment, and how our bodies carry the stories of our lives.
Over time, my understanding of healing began to deepen. Through my exploration of fascia, somatic intelligence and my own lived experience, I began to understand healing as more than making sense of our stories. It is also about allowing what the body has been holding to be felt, expressed and integrated, rediscovering the freedom to live fully as ourselves, in relationship with one another and life itself.

Coming home
For much of my life, I sought understanding through knowledge, meditation and spiritual exploration. My intellect was a place of safety. I knew how to think, to understand, to do, and to keep moving forward.
But somewhere along the way, I began to realise that some of the deepest healing was not about reaching beyond myself. It was about descending into my body, learning to feel what I had once protected myself from, and discovering the courage to be fully present with life, just as it is.
I am still learning. To soften. To love without so much armour. To trust myself, to laugh more, and to find freedom in being authentically who I am.
I am a mother, a doctor, a therapist, a ceremonialist, an explorer, a fierce lover of life, and a woman who can still be utterly captivated by the beauty of a single flower.
I certainly don’t have everything figured out. And perhaps that is part of the beauty of becoming more fully human.
The heart of it
For more than three decades, I have followed a path of seeking, questioning and exploring the mystery of life, healing and what it means to be human. Through medicine, spirituality, Indigenous healing traditions, and the wisdom of Nature, I have come to understand that some of our deepest discoveries begin when we learn to listen, as our ancestors understood long before us.
The body holds an extraordinary intelligence. Our symptoms, experiences and the ways we have adapted to life can become invitations to look beneath the surface, to seek the underlying causes of our suffering, and to understand ourselves more deeply. Healing is not merely the absence of symptoms, but an opportunity to restore our relationship with ourselves, with one another and with the living world.
At the heart of my work are a few principles that have guided me throughout my life:
We are not separate from this intelligence. We are part of Nature, interconnected with the extraordinary web of life.

My work is about creating the conditions for this innate capacity to flourish. To help people listen to their bodies, trust their own wisdom, and recognise that healing is not simply something done to them, but something they actively participate in.
You are the medicine.
Not because you must heal alone, but because the capacity for healing, transformation and becoming more fully human lives within you.
“Healing is a return to relationship: with Nature, with each other, and with ourselves.”Natura SumusWe are Nature.
If something in you is stirring as you read this, I would be honoured to meet you. Whether you come through a symptom, a question, or simply a longing for deeper connection, there is a place to begin.
